DR. LAUREN MONSANTO SOOHOO, OD
Dr. Lauren Monsanto SooHoo earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. Prior to completing her doctorate degree, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree at California State University, Fullerton with a major in Health Sciences and an emphasis on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Her clinical training focused on primary eye care, LASIK and cataract surgery co-management, and treatment and management of ocular disease.After earning her Optometry degree, Dr. Monsanto continued on to complete a residency in Primary Eye Care with an emphasis on Ocular Disease at the San Diego VA Medical Center, through which she was able to hone her skills in treating and managing ocular conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Through her clinical training and experience. Dr. Monsanto has had the pleasure of working with a diverse array of patients from all walks of life and with varying levels of systemic and ocular health, which has helped her to provide quality, individualized care and guidance to her patients each day, regardless of who ends up in her exam chair.
A SoCal native, Dr. Monsanto was born and raised in north Orange County. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing board games with friends and family, and spending time with her husband and two cats, Mika and Keira.
